For the first time in Malaysia, GATSBY & Astro worked hand-in-hand to introduce street dance to the Chinese communities through a series of elimination-style game show. Audition for the show took place @ Low Yat Plaza with 35 groups of contestants eager to strut their stuff.

Battle Ground game show started from Oct 11th 2007 with a half hour introductory show. The 1st episode was aired on Oct 13, 2007. Every week one team would be eliminated, leaving only “the best of the best” to compete with each other.

The finale on Dec 15th 2007 was broadcasted LIVE on Astro from RUUMS Kuala Lumpur. More than 1,500 visitors and millions in front of the TV screen witnessed the much anticipated and intensified battle between 2 final groups. The winner of BattleGround 2007 went to Racken Force from Klang Valley. The 1st Runner up was a double team of Twister ET from Johor.
